What training do the staff who support children with special educational needs in the schools have?
- Speech and Language development
- Emotional and Social Difficulties such as Attachment disorder
- Sensory needs
- Motor difficulties
Teaching and support staff in all of our schools have regular training in the above areas.
The Head teacher is the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Co-ordinator for class teachers in each school. The SENCO provides and monitors the development of the support staff along with the head teacher. They ensure that the staff have the skills required to support pupils. We access a range of external and internal training. All schools engage in the medical training that is deemed necessary.
