What support will there be for my child's overall well-being?
Your child’s class teacher has the overall responsibility for the well-being of every child in their class, so if you have any concerns please talk to them
Our schools have a caring and understanding team of staff who look after all children
All staff believe that children having high self-esteem and confidence is crucial to a child’s emotional well-being and academic progress
Your school might provide support in the form of nurture, social skills and friendship groups, counselling and play therapy
Medicine can be administered in school with signed parent permission if prescribed by a doctor. There are nominated first aiders in all schools and some have paediatric first aid qualifications. If your child has significant medical needs you will need to speak to the SENCO to discuss how best to support your child. This will include drawing up a Health Care Plan in consultation with the school nursing team.
"The children tell us that there are many ways in which they are helped to gain confidence and enjoy their time at school, listen to them talking in our video clips!"
